- Opening Song: “Christmas Time” by Dana Clark and Dana Robinson
- Inspirational letter written by Italian priest and architect — Giovanni Giocondo. He wrote this on Christmas Eve, 1513:
“I salute you. I am your friend, and my love for you goes deep. There is nothing I can give you which you have not. But there is much, very much, that, while I cannot give it, you can take. No heaven can come to us unless our hearts find rest in it today. Take heaven! No peace lies in the future which is not hidden in this present little instant. Take peace! The gloom of the world is but a shadow. Behind it, yet within our reach, is joy. There is radiance and glory in darkness, could we but see. And to see, we have only to look. I beseech you to look!
Life is so generous a giver. But we, judging its gifts by their covering, cast them away as ugly or heavy or hard. Remove the covering, and you will find beneath it a living splendor, woven of love by wisdom, with power. Welcome it, grasp it, and you touch the angel’s hand that brings it to you. Everything we call a trial, a sorrow or a duty, believe me, that angel’s hand is there. The gift is there and the wonder of an overshadowing presence. Your joys, too, be not content with them as joys. They, too, conceal diviner gifts.
Life is so full of meaning and purpose, so full of beauty beneath its covering, that you will find earth but cloaks your heaven. Courage then to claim it; that is all! But courage you have, and the knowledge that we are pilgrims together, wending through unknown country home.
And so, at this time, I greet you, not quite as the world sends greetings, but with profound esteem and with the prayer that for you, now and forever, the day breaks and shadows flee away.“
- The following mini-meditation is from yours truly:
“There’s a lot of activity right now… spiritual, commercial, relational, planetary… my goodness! There’s activity ALL OVER THE PLACE! And right now especially. It’s easy to get swept up in the momentum… the office parties… gift-swaps and secret-santas… the festive foods and beautiful decorations… the travel plans and sacrifices made to be with those you love… Whether or not you believe in the miraculous birth of Jesus… it is nearly impossible to not — somehow — be affected and influenced by the sweet aroma that fills the air in an incredibly unique way this time of year… the fragrance permeates every bit of air, it seems, as SO MUCH momentum and energy and pure, loving devotion has been poured forth into this window of time… mmmm, so irresistible… softening… joining… uniting… merry-making… Using Mistle Toe and light-hanging and choral songs… as excuses to do what we’ve ALWAYS wanted to do… which is to hug and kiss… and make our surroundings beautiful… SING!… and be kind and generous and attentive to each other… and to remember those less fortunate than ourselves… and to jot a note of love and appreciation to important people we don’t see as often as we’d like… and to HAVE OUR HOPE REVIVED… What in the world could be debatable about THAT?! What would happen if, rather than feel separate from a particular belief system, you PLUGGED IN TO THE SOURCE OF ALL THAT INSPIRED ACTION? // NOT THE FRENZIED WATER, BUT THE FOUNTAINHEAD.”

- I was prompted to share this next piece with you. I wrote it quite awhile ago, and call it “Feed Your Howl:”
“Respect that deeper part of yourself that runs on raw urgency. There are no tea-time doilies or polite chit-chat for this fierce chamber of your soul. Your Howl by-passes your intellect, manners, training, grooming, conditioning and masks. Your Howl is who you are at the core of your freedom. It doesn’t give a hoooot about popularity or approval. If you let your Howl out often, you probably live a very inspired life most of the time. If you try to tame your Howl, socialize it, or teach it to behave “nicely” with others, you are probably inspiration-constipated.
And if that’s the case, may this reading be a laxative-gift for you.
Throw your head back. All the way back. And let that Howl loose… let It rise from your belly-core… up… up… to and through your Heart.
This is your life. Why in the world would you want to spend the whole thing as a whisper”
- Closing Blessing: “Let Us Hold a Vision for Humanity” (Sanaya Roman):
People everywhere make right decisions, inspired by their higher selves, and carried out skillfully. // People are mentally clear, emotionally calm, and spiritually aware. // Everyone is in touch with their creativity, strength, courage, and wisdom. // There is an unprecedented level of cooperation, teamwork, and sharing. // Humanity experiences an outpouring of love, new ideas, and soul connections. // There is hope, optimism, and positive visions of the future. // People know that the universe is friendly and always working for them. // People believe in abundance and are able to create it in their lives. // People are supportive of those in need, and are generous with their assistance and sharing. // Criticism is replaced with understanding, love, and cooperation. // Every light worker becomes a radiating point of light, hope, inspiration, and courage. // People are awakening their light bodies everywhere. // Humanity is in alignment with Divine Will. // Humanity has enlightened leadership by all people in leadership positions. // Boundaries between peoples, nations, and races dissolve. // People know their oneness with each other and with the plant, animal, and mineral kingdoms. // Isolation turns into community, aloneness into friendships, and separateness into inclusiveness. // All people are free to follow and live their higher purpose. // Humanity becomes aware of their higher purpose. // Each person expands their consciousness, awakens their true vision, and evolves all the forms in their lives so they may carry out the true activity of their souls. // People’s personalities become vehicles to carry out their soul’s love, light, and will. // All people honor the earth and live in harmony with it and all life upon it. // The plan of humanity unfolds in all its beauty and perfection.
