Empathic Revolution – Episode #2

Have you ever tried to shake hands with someone who gave you, in return, a weak, limp palm?  Like they couldn’t really be bothered with the effort it would take to flex their finger muscles strongly enough to give you a real grip?

This blog is an effort to shake your hand.

Please, flex your finger-muscles strongly enough to:

  • leave a comment below (hellooo, I’m tryin’ to build an interactive community, here);
  • subscribe to this blog (so you can know the very next time Mama Inspiration hits me — check the right sidebar, under “STAY CONNECTED”); or
  • subscribe to My YouTube Channel (although if you subscribe to this blog, you’re already covered).

Did you know that strong hand-shakes are often preludes to hugs?  And who couldn’t use a few more hugs?

I hate a weak handshake. It’s always so disappointing and forever impacts my impression of a person.

So do quick responses ;-) Thanks, Alisha! xx

I’m sorry, I meant to tell you that I needed to come back and comment on the video (babies were keeping me busy that day).

Thank you again for a wonderful video. “Compelled”. Yes, I feel compelled to lead. In my short time on earth, I have worked for many people…and I left because it was feeding my spirit. And I know that it’s because I can’t follow. I mean, I can…but it’s not good for the spirit. I know that I can never work for another person again.

Being a cartographer is so scary though. Like, you said–vulnerable. It’s just really hard trusting in yourself and knowing that you have the ability to chart your own course.

Another fantastic video! You are so on point and I love hearing what you say! It’s especially great because “being compelled” has been on my mind a lot lately! I’m feeling very uncomfortable because I don’t feel very compelled right now and that’s not something I’m used to. I feel that now, through accepting and embracing my empathy and through living a life more in line with my sensitivities, I’m discovering who I really am. Hearing you speak on it got me thinking and giving myself the space to learn about the true me before trying to find out what really lights my fire!

I’m definitely a cartographer though! Right now, I’m blogging about testing diet changes for an HSP which is something that I haven’t found a lot of information about online. I’m the only one of my friends who works from home. I’m the meditator, the mediator, the lover. I’m just getting to the point where I can speak my truth and share my love with the world. It’s so wonderful and you’re very inspiring to me because I see you doing the same thing! You speak truth and love! Thank you so much!

Carolee, I checked out your About page… (such a gorgeous, piercing pic, BTW), and was struck by its clarity. Your clarity. I agree that self-awareness does preceed the compelling vision. It’s great that you’re exploring that. And deliciously ;-) Mmmm…

I included that picture there for one reason: it was part of a key night for me. It was my 28th birthday (this past January) and the night I realized that I was on a huge massive journey and I wasn’t the person I was a year ago, let alone a month before. I could see it in my eyes and it really comes through in that picture. I was ready to tackle anything! And now I am! I’m even further now than I was on that day.

That page also includes my “power statement” (“I’m an idealistic, libertarian, empathic, highly sensitive, pagan-ish, praying & meditating, manifesting lover of every person she’s ever met!”), part of me claiming everything that I was and was hiding from people to make them feel comfortable with me and how powerful I knew I was. I’m starting to wake to that power and taking possession of it, and it of me, bit by bit.
I just got out of a meditation where I got a really odd message back that has me very curious. But something tells me it’s will lead me to next steps: where I go from here, getting myself ready to take on all the power I have. Your videos are so inspiring because I can feel the fire in you as well and watching you speak your truth lets me know I don’t need to be afraid, though I may need to take it slow! :)

Your honesty is refreshing. Nothing but the barenaked truth.

You’re so right about “compelling,” and “being compelled.” I do what I do because I have to…there’s a guiding force that keeps me moving forward, whether I like it or not.

Of course, people think I’m too intense and/or that I work too hard, but that’s their problem :)

“I do what I do because I have to… there’s a guiding force that keeps me moving forward, whether I like it or not.”

Oh, YES, I definitely get this sense from you, Nathan. Your writing is filled with passion and purpose and, personally, I’m glad you push it as hard as you do!

Watching your videos is like picking up a book that has my attention in the very first sentence… and reading on becomes a “can’t put it down” story. I know you are onto something big here and like every great story, while I’m not sure where the author is taking me, I can’t wait to read on and find out!

No predictable outcomes, no maps and a compass doesn’t work in this world. You are *”stepping away from the firelight and casting a shadow of your own.”

You are creating something that has never before been seen on planet earth. I grok that and I am with you!
